Former location of Tactical Battery 1 during WWII. Two 155mm guns on Panama mounts were located here as part of California's WWII-era coastal defense system. Other tactical batteries were located in Ventura, Oxnard, and Port Hueneme. The Panama mounts at Ventura are still visible.

I can verify that this is correct because in 1990 I delivered packages to this area, and this home was a regular stop. On several occasions I did see George Michael at this home. He was very nice, but never chatty.

These are not exactly the cheapest apartments in Santa Barbara. Average rent over $1000 montly. However, good neighborhood and great place to move up from cheaper apartments in town.
